Since 1887 the members of the Alert Fire Company No. 1 have provided volunteer fire protection and emergency services to the residents and businesses of Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township. From our humble beginnings over 136 years ago, we have continued to be a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and fund our facilities at 122 West Pennsylvania Avenue in Downingtown through fundraising events and donations. This will be the ninth year that we are hosting a golf tournament to assist us with our operations budget, which is constantly increasing due to normal costs increases of our utilities and our day-to-day operations.
